Aboriginal Community Empowerment
Among Aboriginal student populations at MRU, 52% of students have struggled to find suitable employment and over one third have identified financial literacy as a substantial personal skills gap. In order to help fill the gap, Project ACE was created.
ACE aims to help build confidence in our participants in the areas of financial education and employment skills through a series of skill workshops. Our financial workshops focus on budgeting, banking, saving, investing, and personal credit. Our employment workshops focus on resumes, cover letters, job interviews, goal setting, and stress management.
We are currently seeking a new Project Lead to help take Project ACE into its next phase of development. Are you a MRU student and think you might be the perfect candidate? Email us using the social links to tell us why!
